Yamaha R15 M likely to be discontinued by end of 2026
Yamaha is likely to discontinue the R15 M in India by the end of 2026, according to dealer sources cited by ZigWheels. The flagship variant of the R15 V4 may be on its way out as the new R2 takes centre stage.
Yamaha has not officially confirmed the discontinuation. The R15 M is currently priced at Rs 2,00,540 (ex-showroom, Delhi), placing it close to the newly launched R2, which starts at Rs 2,39,500.
Bookings for the R15 M remain open and dealerships still have stock, according to the report. The motorcycles currently on sale could be among the last batches offered to customers.
The base R15 now gets a quickshifter as standard on some colour variants, a feature earlier reserved for the M. Buyers eyeing the R15 M may want to hurry, the report suggested.
The R2, launched recently, sits above the R15 in Yamaha’s lineup. Dealers expect the R15 M’s phase-out to be gradual as existing stock sells through in the coming months.
