The fourth UP International Trade Show has recorded business agreements worth Rs 5,500 crore in its first four days, the Uttar Pradesh government said on Tuesday.

As of September 28, a cumulative 3,765 memoranda of understanding worth about Rs 5,500 crore (around $574 million) had been signed at the five-day fair being held at India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29. Business enquiries worth Rs 12,500 crore were also logged from Indian and foreign buyers.

The Federation of Indian Export Organisations said 35,387 business-to-business meetings had been completed by the fourth day, including 11,887 at the Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet for international buyers.

Footfall touched 5,48,881, including 1,56,523 domestic business buyers and 3,92,358 general visitors. With Tuesday the final day, officials expect the figures to rise further.

Uttar Pradesh has positioned the trade show as a flagship of its export push, showcasing ODOP products, handicrafts and agri-exports to international buyers. The state government says the fair has steadily grown in scale each year, and this edition’s figures are the strongest yet.
