TrendForce Sees Memory Prices Rising Up to 20% in Q4

TrendForce forecasts memory contract prices rising further in the fourth quarter of 2026, driven by demand from AI servers. The research firm published its latest outlook on September 30.

Conventional DRAM contract prices are expected to rise 10% to 15% quarter over quarter. Including high-bandwidth memory, the broader DRAM increase is estimated at 15% to 20%. NAND flash contract prices are also forecast to climb 15% to 20%.

Enterprise SSDs are expected to see price growth accelerate, with contract prices up 23% to 28%. Cloud providers are expanding procurement for AI infrastructure, the firm said.

PC DRAM faces the tightest conditions. TrendForce expects PC DRAM contract prices to rise 13% to 18%, as suppliers prioritise server memory and high-bandwidth memory over consumer chips.

Micron said on September 30 that it has already sold most of its 2027 high-bandwidth memory supply with significant price increases year over year. The firm expects PC DRAM supply to decline further in 2027.
