Tesla has opened its first Experience Centre in Chennai, located at Express Avenue Mall on Pattullos Road, expanding its retail footprint in South India. The company also set up a Tesla-approved collision centre and service facility in Poonamallee, giving customers across Tamil Nadu local access to test drives, orders, deliveries and repairs.

The 2026 Model Y Premium rear-wheel drive, priced at Rs 50.89 lakh, and the six-seat Model Y L, from Rs 61.99 lakh, are on display and available for test drives. The launch takes Tesla’s Indian retail presence to six cities, alongside Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram.

The Chennai expansion signals Tesla’s growing commitment to the Indian market as it builds out sales and after-sales support across the country. Customers can experience, order and take delivery of vehicles locally, with genuine parts and Tesla-trained technicians supporting ownership. The company says over-the-air updates will keep adding features, including its Grok voice assistant in Indian languages.
