StockGro Raises 110 Crore in Series B Round

Social investing platform StockGro has raised 110 crore rupees in a Series B funding round, as the Bengaluru-based startup scales its community-driven stock market learning platform.

The round was led by existing and new investors betting on the growth of retail participation in Indian equities. StockGro said the funds will be used to expand its product offerings, strengthen its technology stack and grow its user base in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Founded to make stock market education accessible, StockGro combines virtual trading, expert-led communities and curated investment ideas. The platform claims millions of users, many of them first-time investors learning the ropes before committing real money.

India’s retail investor base has expanded sharply in recent years, with demat accounts crossing record highs. Fintech startups catering to this audience have attracted significant venture funding, though competition is intense.

The company said it will also invest in compliance and investor-protection features as regulators tighten oversight of finfluencers and investment advice on social platforms. Profitability timelines and unit economics will be closely watched in the current funding environment.
