Highway Infrastructure Bags Rs 24.46 Cr NHAI Toll Deal

Highway Infrastructure has bagged a Rs 24.46-crore contract from the National Highways Authority of India to operate a toll plaza in Tamil Nadu. The contract covers the Velanchettiyur Fee Plaza on the four-lane Karur-Dindigul section of NH-7. The agreement was signed on October 8. The scope includes collecting user fees from vehicles using the stretch and maintaining facilities at the plaza, including toilets for travellers.
The project is scheduled to be executed over 90 days. Toll contracts of this kind are awarded through competitive bidding, with operators managing fee collection and upkeep of the plaza area. NH-7 connects key towns in central Tamil Nadu, and the fee plaza serves traffic on the Karur-Dindigul corridor.
The order adds to Highway Infrastructure’s portfolio of road operations and maintenance work in the state. NHAI regularly awards such contracts for fee plazas across national highways, with operators responsible for smooth toll operations and basic traveller amenities. The Karur-Dindigul stretch is part of the region’s key road connectivity.
