Marico raises Plix stake to 84% in Rs 1,012 crore deal

Marico has raised its stake in Satiya Nutraceuticals, the parent of plant-based brand Plix, to 84.09 percent. The FMCG major paid Rs 1,012.03 crore for an additional 24.09 percent stake bought from the founders and other investors. Its total investment for the 84.09 percent holding now stands at Rs 1,392.07 crore. The remaining 14.09 percent is to be acquired by July 2027 for up to Rs 592 crore plus performance-linked payouts. Marico first bought 60 percent of the company between 2023 and 2025. Plix, founded by Rishubh Satiya and Akash Zaveri, sells plant-based nutrition and personal care products. Marico said deeper ownership expands its addressable market in high-margin wellness foods. Separately, Marico expects double-digit consolidated revenue growth in Q2 FY27, with Parachute coconut oil posting early-teens volume growth. Operating profit is seen expanding in the mid-twenties. The international business grew in the teens in constant currency, led by Vietnam, the Middle East and South Africa.
