IndigoTex raises Rs 5 crore for waterless wool tech

A textile startup from IIT Delhi has raised fresh funds. IndigoTex has secured Rs 5 crore in a round led by IAN Angel Fund. SIDBI, FITT and IIT Delhi Angels also took part.
The company was founded in 2024 by Satendra Singh, Professor B. S. Butola and Dilip Singh. It has built what it calls India’s first waterless wool finishing technology.
Wool processing usually needs large amounts of water and chemicals. IndigoTex says its process removes water from finishing. This matters for an industry under pressure over its environmental footprint.
Its main product is IndiWool Denim. It blends wool with denim in variants for all-weather and cold climates. It is also developing ECOTEX Wool for washable wool fabrics.
The money will build a factory at the Rai Industrial Area in Sonipat, Haryana. Research will stay at IIT Delhi’s Research and Innovation Park.
The company says it has signed non-disclosure agreements with Ralph Lauren and Kering Group in France. It is talking to premium brands and exporters.
