Gold prices in India stayed near record highs on Thursday, October 8. The 24K gold rate stood at ₹1,49,422 per 10 grams in the India-wide reference. The 22K rate was ₹1,37,431 per 10 grams. The 18K rate was ₹1,12,526 per 10 grams.

Compared to a year ago, gold is up nearly 20 per cent. On October 8, 2025, 24K gold was ₹1,24,729 per 10 grams. High prices have kept festive buying cautious, though jewellers hope for a pickup as the season advances.
