Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases has won a turnkey contract worth ₹480.73 crore from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd for power and industrial projects.

The domestic contract is one of the company’s largest order wins. It was among the corporate updates that put the company’s shares in focus during Tuesday’s trading session.

For the first nine months of the financial year, Ellenbarrie reported revenue of ₹1,006 crore and a net profit of ₹152 crore.

Turnkey contracts hand the contractor full responsibility for delivering a working project, from design to commissioning. For industrial gas companies, such orders usually involve building gas plants and supply systems for large industrial customers.

The order adds to a busy day of corporate announcements, with several infrastructure and power sector companies reporting fresh contract wins and loan agreements.

Analysts track such order books closely, since they give a view of future revenue for engineering and industrial companies.

Ellenbarrie is one of India’s oldest industrial gas makers, with plants and supply networks across several states.
