Israel's military said on September 27 it had killed Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, the militant accused of driving the motorcycle that carried Noa Argamani into Gaza during the October 7, 2023 attack on the Nova music festival.

The IDF and Shin Bet said Sakr died in an airstrike in Nuseirat on September 26, in an operation with police unit Gideonim 33. They described him as an operative of global jihad groups who had supplied weapons to Hamas and was planning attacks on Israeli troops and civilians.

Video of Argamani being driven into Gaza became one of the most shared images of the attack. She was rescued in an Israeli operation in June 2024. Avinatan Or, abducted alongside her, was released in October 2025, Israeli officials said.

The agencies said Sakr's activity repeatedly violated the ceasefire. They also announced the killing of a Hamas commander accused of holding nine hostages. Israel continues targeted strikes against people it links to the October 7 attacks, even as a fragile truce holds in Gaza.
