Noida driver with 208 unpaid challans faces licence axe

Delhi Traffic Police have traced a habitual traffic violator with 208 unpaid challans to a village in Greater Noida, and his driving licence has been forwarded for suspension.
The individual was traced to Jalpura village on October 2 as part of an intensified enforcement drive against repeat offenders. Police said the 208 unpaid challans had accumulated over time without payment.
Officials said the licence suspension process has been initiated. The case is part of a broader crackdown on habitual violators who ignore repeated fines.
Traffic police across the National Capital Region have been using camera-based enforcement and data analytics to identify repeat offenders. Unpaid challans can lead to licence suspension and, in persistent cases, vehicle seizure.
The enforcement drive comes amid growing concern over road discipline in the NCR. Authorities say consistent action against repeat offenders is needed to change driver behaviour.
Motorists can check and pay pending challans through official traffic police portals. Police have advised vehicle owners to clear dues promptly to avoid suspension or legal action.
