Invest Maharashtra: 66 MoUs worth Rs 8.58 lakh crore unveiled

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar launched ‘Invest Maharashtra’ in Mumbai on October 1, the state’s flagship investment platform with the tagline ‘Made for Business’. The launch unveiled a portfolio of 66 proposed MoUs worth over Rs 8.58 lakh crore.

The MoUs span semiconductors, data centres, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defence, healthcare and agro-processing. They are projected to generate more than 3,00,000 direct and indirect jobs across regions including Vidarbha, Marathwada, Nashik and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Fadnavis linked the platform to Maharashtra’s target of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The state also announced dedicated hubs, including an AI and Innovation City, a Medicity and an Education City.

Adani Enterprises Director Pranav Adani, who attended the launch, outlined a group investment blueprint exceeding Rs 6 lakh crore in the state, with projects worth Rs 2.6 lakh crore already completed or under execution. Five cabinet ministers attended the launch, signalling whole-of-government backing for the platform.
