Iranian cleric Mohsen Heydari said Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei survived a second US-Israeli strike after being pulled from the rubble of a bombed Tehran hospital. Heydari, a member of the Assembly of Experts, made the claim in an interview with Qatari network Al Araby on Thursday.

"Even after he had been wounded and taken to the hospital, three hospitals in Tehran were bombed," Heydari said. "Mojtaba Khamenei was in the third hospital and was pulled from the rubble." He said the 56-year-old leader had been wounded in the February 28 strike that killed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Heydari said Khamenei was then moved to an unknown location and has not been seen or heard from since. The cleric did not know he had been chosen supreme leader until the announcement aired on state television.

Conflicting accounts of Khamenei's health have emerged. Trump said the leader was "very seriously wounded", while Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told Fox News that Khamenei was "completely" healthy and that they had met for seven hours.

Heydari's claim is the first detailed insider account of the leader's injuries; his health stays central to Iran's leadership question.
