OpenAI Launches GPT-6 with Intelligent UI Tools

OpenAI has launched GPT-6 with Intelligent UI, turning ChatGPT into an interface that can generate interactive tools instead of just returning text.
Announced on October 7, the update lets ChatGPT create visual explanations, charts, forms, buttons and calculators directly in conversations. A user can ask for a financial calculator or a wardrobe plan and get a working interface.
OpenAI says more than 1.2 billion people use ChatGPT every week. GPT-6 Instant begins responding 44 per cent sooner than GPT-5.6 Instant for questions needing web searches, based on internal testing.
The rollout began on October 7 for Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise customers. Free and Go users were scheduled to get it on October 8. The update applies to ChatGPT rather than the models used in Work and Codex.
The move pushes ChatGPT closer to a software platform that builds interfaces around tasks, reducing the need to switch between apps.
The broader implication is significant. ChatGPT is moving from a chatbot toward a platform that creates interfaces for individual tasks, potentially reducing the need for specialised applications.
