Google Launches Gemini 4 Argon With 1M-Token Output

Google has launched Gemini 4 Argon, its most advanced AI model, on September 30.
The model supports one million tokens of output in a single response. It scored 77.9 percent on the DeepSWE coding test and 51.3 percent on AutomationBench.
On the Vals Index agentic benchmark it reached 68.9 percent. Google is first rolling the model out through its Fairwind early-access programme.
Paid API and Ultra-tier access will follow. Introductory pricing is set at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
The launch sharpens Google’s rivalry with OpenAI. Developers praised the long-output window for document work.
Google says safety testing was completed before release. Enterprise customers are expected to get priority access.
Google said Argon was trained with new efficiency methods that cut serving costs. The model will first reach select developers through Fairwind. Wider API access is planned for later this year. Early testers said the long output window suits legal and research work.
