Canara Bank has opened applications for 3,500 Graduate Apprentice training seats for FY 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with the application window running from October 1 to October 17, 2026. Interested candidates can apply online through the bank’s website, canarabank.bank.in.

There is no written examination. Selection will be through state-wise merit based on marks in Class 12 or diploma, with a minimum of 60% for General and EWS candidates and 55% for SC, ST and PwBD applicants. Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years old as of September 1, 2026, and can apply for only one state. Registration on the NATS portal with a 100% complete profile is mandatory.

Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 16,650, including the government subsidy component. The application fee is Rs 500, with no fee for SC, ST and PwBD candidates. The notification was issued on September 25, 2026. With no exam and a simple merit-based process, the drive is expected to draw heavy applications from fresh graduates across the country.
