Fabletics opens first India store at Delhi’s DLF Promenade

California-based activewear brand Fabletics has opened its first India store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi, entering the country in partnership with Reliance Brands Limited. The store opened on September 29 with a queue of more than 100 shoppers at launch, the company said.
The Delhi flagship features RFID-enabled fitting rooms, where an in-room tablet recognises the products a shopper brings in and suggests sizes and styles. The brand is pitching an experience-led retail format: the launch featured a balance-board challenge, a claw machine and a pedal-powered smoothie station alongside the apparel displays.
Fabletics, known globally for its subscription-driven activewear model, is targeting India’s fast-growing athleisure market, where international labels are racing to open large-format stores. Reliance Brands, which manages several global luxury and premium labels in India, will drive the brand’s local expansion.
The company plans to open its next Indian store in Mumbai as it builds a national footprint. More locations are expected to follow in metro cities through 2027, the company said.
