New York: Warehouse robotics software startup Destro AI has raised $8 million in a seed round co-led by Base10 Partners and Bonfire Ventures, with participation from CoFound, the company announced around September 29. The round was reported by Finsmes and Business Wire.

The startup builds MothershipOS and VisionOS, software platforms that coordinate autonomous robots in warehouses and logistics facilities. Its customers include Yusen Logistics. CEO Manthan Pawar said the funding will go toward product development and scaling deployments.

Warehouse automation has attracted steady venture funding as e-commerce growth and labour shortages push operators toward robotics. Destro AI says its software-first approach lets warehouses deploy mixed robot fleets without being locked to a single hardware vendor.

The company plans to expand its engineering team and deepen integrations with warehouse management systems. The seed round is among the larger early-stage bets in logistics robotics this year.

The company said its platforms are hardware-agnostic, allowing warehouses to mix robots from different manufacturers. Industry watchers say software-first automation is gaining ground as warehouses add robots without replacing entire existing fleets.
