Chasing 136 in ten overs, the Masters reached 141 for five in 9.3 overs, with Wiese striking 12 sixes and no fours at a strike rate of 376.19. The Namibian all-rounder walked in with the game in the balance and finished it emphatically, earning player of the match. Vancouver Kings had posted 135 for one in their ten overs. On the opening day of season two, Brampton Blitz and Toronto Sixers also won their matches, with Nicholas Pooran hitting 64 off 33 for one of the winners. The Super 60, a ten-over-a-side tournament, has returned bigger in its second season with several international stars. Wiese's innings, one of the fastest in the tournament's short history, set an early marker for the season.
