A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on September 30 after a pilot was stabbed by another pilot in the cockpit.

According to reports, one pilot attacked the other and appeared to try to bring the aircraft down. Passengers and crew overpowered the attacker, and the aircraft landed safely. The pilot suspected of the attack was arrested by Saudi authorities.

Israel scrambled fighter jets amid fears of a hijacking after the flight squawked emergency codes and lost around 17,000 feet of altitude. Prime Minister Netanyahu said the crew and passengers saved many lives and prevented a major disaster.

Israeli officials have not ruled out a terror angle, though the attacker's nationality remains unconfirmed and investigations are ongoing. The incident is being probed by aviation and security agencies in multiple countries.

Aviation experts said cockpit attacks are extremely rare. Airlines follow strict rules about who can enter the cockpit, and investigators will review whether all procedures were followed on this flight.
