South Korean sleep-tech company Tenminds has earned Works with SmartThings certification for its AI Sleep Bot, integrating the smart pillow with Samsung's smart home platform. The announcement on September 30 marks the pillow's entry into Samsung's connected-home ecosystem ahead of its official launch in South Korea in November.

The AI Sleep Bot is an AI-based sleep management solution built into a pillow. It starts automatically when the user lies down, analyses sounds during sleep, and when it detects snoring, inflates airbags to adjust the height and angle of the head to help reduce snoring.

Through the SmartThings integration, the device can trigger bedroom-wide routines based on sleep data — dimming lights, adjusting air conditioners, humidifiers and air purifiers. CEO Jang Seung-woong said the goal is a sleep experience where the pillow responds at the moment it is needed, rather than merely showing results in the morning. Sleep researchers note that snoring affects a large share of adults and that positional therapy, which the pillow automates, is among the simplest interventions for mild cases.
