GATE 2027 registration deadline extended to October 5
IIT Madras has extended the GATE 2027 registration deadline. Regular applications without a late fee will now close on October 5, 2026.
Candidates can still apply in the late-fee window until October 12. A correction window will open from October 14 to 21.
The exams will be held on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027. They will cover 30 subjects. Results will be declared on March 19, 2027.
Registration is through the GOAPS portal. DigiLocker is mandatory for Indian nationals applying for the exam. Candidates should keep their documents ready.
The fee in the regular window is Rs 1,000 per paper for female, SC, ST and PwD candidates. For all others, it is Rs 2,000 per paper. The late-fee window charges extra.
Candidates who miss the October 5 date can still apply till October 12. They will have to pay the late fee. Corrections can be made from October 14 to 21.
