Nani’s The Paradise has become the actor’s highest-grossing film worldwide in just four days, with its global collection reaching Rs. 138.25 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs. 92.10 crore net in India, including Rs. 11.60 crore from premiere shows, and grossed Rs. 29.25 crore overseas, taking the worldwide total to Rs. 138.25 crore. Koimoi pegged the worldwide gross at Rs. 138.94 crore.

That beats Nani’s previous bests, HIT: The Third Case at Rs. 120.40 crore, Dasara at Rs. 118.60 crore and Saripodhaa Sanivaaram at Rs. 101.40 crore. In India, it is closing in on his first Rs. 100 crore net grosser.

The achievement comes despite a sharp drop after its strong opening and mixed-to-negative reviews. Directed by Srikanth Odela and set in 1980s Secunderabad, the period action drama stars Nani alongside Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal and Sonali Kulkarni.

The trade says the film needs about Rs. 200 crore worldwide to break even. Why it matters: it proves Nani’s pan-India gamble can outgross his biggest Telugu-only hits.
