Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer has warned that no name will be deleted from the draft electoral roll without due process. The warning was issued on Sept 27, 2026, during a Special Intensive Revision of the voter lists.

More than 350 electors have been marked ‘ineligible’ on the draft roll, according to reports. Around 200 of them are from the Vikaspuri constituency.

The CEO’s office said notices are being issued where a voter’s link to the previous revision roll could not be established or where logical discrepancies exist. It said every voter will get a chance to be heard and can appeal against a decision.

Voters can file claims and objections through Form-6 until Sept 30. Officials must dispose of all notices by Oct 29. The final electoral roll will be published on Nov 4. Special enrolment camps were held on Sept 20 and Sept 27 to help voters.

Why it matters: draft rolls cover about 97.5 lakh electors, and voters marked ineligible must file objections before the Sept 30 deadline to protect their right to vote.
