Bitcoin rebounds above $82,000 as Trump eases Iran strike fears

Bitcoin rebounded above $82,000 on Friday after US President Donald Trump said America would not strike Iran before the November 3 midterm elections, easing geopolitical fears that had rattled risk assets.
The cryptocurrency traded near $82,488, recovering from a session low near $80,496. Bitcoin had fallen to around $80,000 on Thursday as Iran tensions, institutional outflows and AI security worries weighed on sentiment.
Analysts are watching $81,000 as immediate support and $82,000 as the first resistance to reclaim. The token remains well below its all-time high of about $126,198.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded outflows of nearly $500 million on Wednesday, adding to the pressure. The Fear and Greed Index stood at 55, reflecting neutral sentiment despite the decline.
The crypto market has been volatile through 2026, with Bitcoin trading well below its record high amid rate hikes and geopolitical shocks. Traders say a sustained break above $85,000 is needed to confirm a trend reversal.
