Ninety per cent of the Drishyam: The Conclusion unit did not know the film’s climax, Nishant Singh has revealed. Singh, one half of the comedy duo Changu Mangu, appears in the film.

“Vijay Salgaonkar jo Meera Deshmukh ke saath kar rahe the, wohi Abhishek Pathak hamare saath kar rahe the,” Singh said in an interview, comparing director Abhishek Pathak’s secrecy to the film’s own plotting.

The claim matches earlier accounts. Writer Aamil Keeyan Khan said the screenplay went through more than a hundred drafts and information was shared on a need-to-know basis.

Pathak himself said scripts were withheld from most of the crew. He also spent months studying fan theories on forums like Reddit and discarded every idea viewers were expecting, so the Hindi climax differs from the Malayalam original.

The film stars Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat. It has opened strongly at the box office.
