New Zealand Lose Chapman and Foulkes to Injury Before India T20Is

New Zealand will be without Mark Chapman and Zak Foulkes for the five-match home T20I series against India, New Zealand Cricket said on Friday.
Chapman suffered a left hamstring tear during the European T20 Premier League last month and is on track to be available for the ODIs against India. Foulkes injured his right hip flexor during a Canterbury training session, and his return timeline is not yet set.
NZC have called up allrounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner as replacements. Coach Rob Walter said he was gutted for the two injured players and wished them a smooth recovery.
The T20I series kicks off in Christchurch on October 22. It will be followed by five one-day internationals starting November 4 and two Tests.
Mitchell Santner captains the New Zealand squad, which includes Michael Bracewell and Adam Milne after their returns from injury. Coach Walter said Clarkson and Tickner were excited to be involved in what he called an epic T20 series.
