BEML wins Rs 75.58-crore export order

BEML has bagged an export and maintenance order worth Rs 75.58 crore from Southeast Asia, adding to its growing international order book.
The defence and heavy equipment maker said the order covers equipment supply along with maintenance support. Export orders are a strategic priority for the company as it looks to reduce dependence on domestic defence contracts.
The win comes at a time when Indian defence manufacturers are pushing hard into overseas markets. Government backing for defence exports has opened doors across Southeast Asia, Africa and West Asia.
For BEML, services and maintenance contracts provide steady, long-term revenue alongside equipment sales. The Southeast Asian order strengthens that stream.
The company's shares have been in focus through the year on defence sector optimism. Order inflows like this one help sustain that momentum. The company has also been expanding its service network across the region to support such contracts. BEML is expected to spell out execution timelines in its upcoming quarterly update.
