EB Games To Open North America’s First Nintendo Store-In-Store

EB Games Canada has announced it will open a permanent Nintendo space at its flagship Toronto location — Nintendo’s first-ever store-within-a-store in North America. The 1,500-square-foot space at 267 Yonge Street opens to the public at 10 am on Saturday, October 17.
The space will feature Nintendo Switch 2 hardware and software, playable demo systems, Nintendo-themed displays, merchandise and photo opportunities. A selection of My Mario merchandise, some of it exclusive to the location in Canada, will also be on sale.
‘There’s something special about gathering around the games we love,’ said Stephan Tetrault, owner and CEO of EB Games Canada, arguing physical retail still matters. Nintendo of Canada’s Susan Pennefather called it an ‘incredible place to explore what’s new’ in Nintendo’s world.
Similar Nintendo retail experiences exist elsewhere in the world, but this is the first on the continent. The opening lands just ahead of the holiday season, with more Switch 2 exclusives due in the coming weeks.
