NASA Sets October 13 for SpaceX’s 35th Station Resupply

NASA and SpaceX are targeting October 13 for the 35th commercial resupply mission to the International Space Station. Liftoff is set for 6:33 am EDT.
A Falcon 9 rocket will launch a Dragon spacecraft from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral in Florida. The spacecraft will carry more than 6,300 pounds of supplies and science gear.
The cargo includes the final set of International Space Station Roll-Out Solar Arrays. Dragon will dock autonomously around 11 am on October 15.
The mission will also deliver hardware to manufacture artificial retinas in microgravity, 3D heart tissue models for drug testing, and brain organoids for studying neurodegenerative diseases.
NASA will stream the launch and docking live. A media teleconference on October 8 previewed the flight and gave a post-splashdown update on the Crew-12 mission.
Dragon will stay at the station until mid-November. It will then return to Earth with time-critical research, splashing down off the California coast.
