Abhishek Banerjee and Divyenndu, the Mirzapur duo who became fan favourites as Compounder and Munna Tripathi, are set to reunite for a new empire-style drama series from Endemol, Filmfare reported on October 7.
The yet-untitled series will stream on an Amazon platform, with reports split between Amazon MX Player and Prime Video. Sources say Banerjee will headline the show, with Divyenndu playing a key role. The project is described as an empire drama exploring power, ambition and the dynamics of building and protecting an empire.
Plot, setting and character details are being kept under wraps. The reunion comes months after the two shared screen space in Mirzapur: The Movie, which released in September and reignited fan excitement around their on-screen chemistry.
Divyenndu had a busy 2026 with Mirzapur: The Movie and a Telugu debut in Peddi, while Banerjee made his Tamil web series debut with Legacy alongside R Madhavan. The new series shifts both actors away from the gangster world that defined their breakout roles.
