Houthi Drone Strikes on Saudi Airports Kill Three

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed drone attacks on two Saudi Arabian airports in two days, killing three people and wounding dozens more.
On Tuesday, a strike on Abha airport killed two people — Algerian and Moroccan nationals — and wounded 28 others. On Wednesday, a separate strike on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport killed one Sudanese national and wounded eight people from Bangladesh, the Philippines and Egypt.
Saudi civil aviation said drones struck passenger terminals at both airports. The Saudi-led coalition said it destroyed missile launchers used in the attacks.
Separately, a missile hit near the runway at Aden airport, forcing a Yemenia Airways flight to divert to Jeddah. Aden is controlled by the Saudi-backed government.
Syria is considering joining the campaign in support of Saudi Arabia, and Pakistani troops are deployed in the kingdom. The United Nations says more than 200,000 people have been displaced in the renewed fighting.
