Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has brought together Aamir Khan, Hema Malini, Rana Daggubati and Imtiaz Ali for the Celebrate Cinema Festival 2026. The three-day festival is being held at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai from October 7 to 9.

Each day of the festival spotlights a different cinematic journey. Aamir Khan opened the event on October 7 with a conversation around Sitaare Zameen Par. Thursday features Hema Malini and Rana Daggubati. Imtiaz Ali will close the festival on Friday with a session on Main Wapas Aaunga.

Ghai said the festival celebrates the spirit of cinema. It creates a space for meaningful conversations around the craft. The artists bring distinctly different journeys and perspectives to the event.

Ghai himself will interact with students and aspiring filmmakers. Around 2,000 students are expected to take part. The festival gives young filmmakers a chance to hear directly from the people behind some of Indian cinema’s most recognisable stories.
