Shakti Shalini delay rumours: what Vishal Jethwa said

Rumours that Maddock Films’ horror-comedy Shakti Shalini may be postponed to 2027 have surfaced, with reports linking the move to a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s King.
The film, starring Aneet Padda, is currently scheduled for release on December 24, 2026, a Christmas window that would pit it directly against the Shah Rukh Khan starrer King.
Co-star Vishal Jethwa addressed the speculation at a recent event. Speaking in Hindi, he said he had also heard the rumours, but neither confirmed nor denied a delay, adding that only the makers could clarify.
There has been no official word from the producers on any change of date. As things stand, Shakti Shalini remains firmly slated for December 24, 2026.
The film is the latest addition to Maddock’s expanding horror-comedy universe. With two big releases eyeing the same festive date, trade watchers expect a clearer picture on the release plan in the coming weeks.
