Gambhir hosts Team India dinner ahead of Delhi Test

India head coach Gautam Gambhir hosted the entire Test squad for a special dinner at his Delhi residence on Thursday, ahead of the second Test against West Indies.
The team arrived by bus at his Rajinder Nagar home in the evening, where the coach had arranged an open-air dinner for the players and support staff. Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel and KL Rahul were among those seen arriving in casuals.
BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla also joined the evening. Young pacer Harshit Rana, who is not part of the Test squad, arrived separately and was seen joining the gathering.
The warm gesture comes at a confident moment for the side. India lead the two-match series 1-0 after crushing West Indies by an innings and 140 runs in the Ahmedabad opener.
The second Test begins on October 10 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With the series on the line for the visitors, Gambhir’s dinner served as a relaxed team-building break before the players return to nets on Thursday.
