Google Brings Gemini Auto Browse to India for Paid Users

Google has brought its Gemini in Chrome assistant to all Android users in India, along with the agentic Auto Browse feature for paying subscribers.
The company announced the rollout on October 7. Gemini in Chrome had come to Indian desktops earlier this year. On Android, it can summarise long articles, answer questions about the page on screen, and connect with Google apps such as Keep and Calendar. It can also generate and edit images using Nano Banana.
Auto Browse is the bigger step. The agentic feature can carry out multi-step tasks on the web, such as booking parking for an event, filling a long form or ordering groceries for the week.
Before starting, it shows a plan of the websites it will visit and the information it may share. Google says the system is trained to detect prompt-injection attacks and asks for confirmation before sensitive actions.
Auto Browse is available on desktop and Android in India for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers. The wider Gemini in Chrome experience is free for all Android users in the country.
