Drishyam Actor Recalls Ajay Devgn’s Praise for Her Monologue

Samvedna Suwalka, who appears in the Drishyam franchise, has spoken about the moment Ajay Devgn praised her performance. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama published on October 7, she recalled how Devgn patted her on the back for a monologue in the second film.
Suwalka said the appreciation meant a great deal because it came after 10 to 12 years of hard work in the industry. The actor has been part of the franchise that returned with Drishyam: The Conclusion on October 2.
She described the long wait for recognition that character actors often face, and said moments of acknowledgement from senior stars keep them going.
The Drishyam series, headlined by Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, is among Hindi cinema’s most successful thriller franchises. The third instalment’s release has brought renewed attention to its ensemble cast, including actors like Suwalka whose roles grew across the films.
The interview has been picked up widely by entertainment portals, with fans praising her candour about the long wait character actors face. Her comments add to the conversation around recognising ensemble performers in big franchises.
