Hadrian raises $40M to tackle AI-driven hacking threats

Hadrian, the agentic AI offensive security platform, has announced a $40 million funding round co-led by Forgepoint Capital International and SmartFin, bringing its total funding to $65 million.
Existing investors HV Capital, Motive Partners, Picus Capital and Oetker Ventures also took part. The money will fund expansion across EMEA and the US and deepen investment in engineering and research.
The raise comes as AI reshapes offensive security. Anthropic recently disclosed that criminals and state-linked groups used its models to automate attack chains. Data shows 87 per cent of organisations still run manual penetration tests.
Hadrian’s platform maps a company’s digital footprint and uses AI agents to find and verify exploitable risks. The company says humans set the mission while AI does the work in between, and claims customers get 10x visibility and 80 per cent faster resolution than manual testing.
Only 0.47 per cent of scanner alerts prove genuinely exploitable, the company says. That means teams chase noise while real threats slip past. Hadrian was founded in Amsterdam in 2021.
