Mumbai, October 6: Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt may reunite for a third film. Reports say the duo are discussing a revived version of Inshallah, which was shelved in 2019.

The film was first announced with Salman Khan and Alia in the lead roles. It did not move ahead after Salman reportedly opted out before the shoot. Bhansali then made Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia, which won her the National Award for Best Actress.

According to a Mid-day report, the revived project will not be the same film announced seven years ago. The core story stays, but the material will be reworked with a fresh approach.

Casting comes later. The report says no casting gets locked on a Bhansali film before the script is finalised. Shah Rukh Khan's name has circulated for the male lead, but a younger actor is also possible.

The duo's next release is Love And War, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal, scheduled for January 21, 2027.
