Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt are planning to revive their long-shelved project Inshallah after the release of Love And War, according to a report.

Inshallah was announced years ago but never went on floors. Bhansali and Bhatt have since collaborated on other films, and the director is now keen to revisit the project once his current commitments are over.

Their upcoming film Love And War stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The makers recently unveiled character posters, and the film is set to release in theatres on January 21, 2026. Trade reports say its theatrical rights were sold for Rs. 300 crore.

A revival of Inshallah would be one of the biggest announcements in Hindi cinema. Bhansali is known for his grand period dramas, and fans have waited years for an update on the project.

Inshallah was originally announced with Salman Khan in the lead before being shelved. The project’s scale and Bhansali’s perfectionist approach made it one of the most discussed unmade films of recent years. If revived, it would mark another collaboration between the director and Bhatt after their earlier successes.
