Giants take first place after Banks’ 98-yard pick-six seals win

Deonte Banks intercepted Jacoby Brissett at the goal line and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown as time expired, sealing the New York Giants’ 36-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals on October 4.
Arizona had first-and-goal at the Giants’ 4-yard line in the final seconds. After three straight stops, Banks jumped the route on fourth down and raced the length of the field for the game-ending score, his first career pick-six.
Jameis Winston threw three touchdown passes in his second straight win as starter, with Malik Nabers catching six passes for 112 yards and his first touchdown of the season. Brissett threw three interceptions.
The Giants are 3-1 for the first time since 2022 and alone in first place in the NFC East for the first time since 2015, after Philadelphia’s loss. They are 3-0 at home.
Under first-year coach John Harbaugh, the Cardiac Giants have now sealed back-to-back wins with goal-line takeaways in the final seconds.
