AISA chief Neha Bora detained on third day of EC stir

Delhi Police detained AISA national president Neha Bora on Sunday during a protest march toward Jantar Mantar. It was the third consecutive day of demonstrations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
AISA members claimed Bora was picked up in a private vehicle without an official number plate. They also alleged that no woman police officer was present in the vehicle. There was no immediate reaction from Delhi Police on the claims.
The protesters marched from Andhra Bhawan Circle toward Jantar Mantar. Police stopped them at barricades. Bora was later released from the Narela Industrial Area Police Station, according to AISA members.
The stir targets the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. On Saturday, around 150 protesters were detained, including activist Yogendra Yadav and senior advocate Prashant Bhushan. More than 500 were detained on Friday.
Bora has alleged that police abused and injured her during the crackdown. She showed bruises in a video. Delhi Police have denied permission for the gatherings and filed FIRs under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
