Amazon launches slimmer Fire TV Stick 4K with new remote

Amazon has launched a new Fire TV Stick 4K (2026), priced at $59.99. The streaming stick is slimmer than before and comes with a redesigned Fire TV remote.
The new stick runs on Amazon’s own Vega operating system and comes with Alexa+ on board. Amazon claims it boots faster than a rival device and launches apps 35 percent faster.
It has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, 8GB of storage and a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, with HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG support but no Dolby Vision. The stick can draw power from the TV’s USB port, so it does not need a separate wall plug.
The redesigned remote has a flat top, a rounded weighted bottom and a prominent orange Home button, plus a customizable star button that can launch any app.
The stick is shipping now in the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Australia. Amazon plans to expand to more markets in late October.
For a limited period, US customers can buy it for $29.99 as part of Prime Big Deal Days. Amazon is also preparing a Fire TV Remote Plus for early 2027, with a Find My Remote feature.
