Samsung Galaxy A08 launched in India at Rs 18,499

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A08 in India, priced at Rs 18,499 for the single 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The phone is available in Dark Blue, Green and Silver.
The phone’s main highlights are a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging and a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G99+ chipset.
For cameras, the Galaxy A08 has a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Software is the phone’s biggest promise. It ships with Android 16-based One UI 9, and Samsung promises six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates — rare at this price.
It also gets Samsung’s newer AI and search features, including Circle to Search 3.0, Gemini and Perplexity, plus Samsung Knox security. The phone has an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.
One limitation: the Galaxy A08 is 4G-only, with no 5G support. Sales begin on October 7 through Samsung Exclusive Stores, partner retailers, Samsung.com and other online platforms.
