Anil Kapoor’s “Subedaar” has secured two National Winner honours at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026, Bollywood Hungama reported on October 4. Kapoor is recognised for Best Actor in a Leading Role and director Suresh Triveni for Best Direction for a Feature Film.

The wins place the film among India’s entries advancing to the Grand Finals of the awards, where an international jury will pick the overall Asian winners. The awards gala takes place in Singapore on December 3.

Produced by Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni and Anil Kapoor, “Subedaar” is one of the Indian titles recognised across 18 countries and territories this year. Kapoor will represent India in the Best Actor category.

ANI reported the film also won Best Feature Film for India at the awards. Kapoor plays retired soldier Subedaar Arjun Maurya in the action-drama, set in Madhya Pradesh, where his character confronts corruption while repairing his bond with his daughter.

“Subedaar” was released on Amazon Prime Video on March 5. Kapoor called the recognition a very special moment in his journey and thanked the entire team.
