Bumrah plays 100th T20I in India-Pakistan Asian Games final

Jasprit Bumrah played his 100th T20 International for India on Saturday. The milestone came in the Asian Games 2026 men’s cricket gold medal match against Pakistan at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan.
Bumrah became one of the few Indian bowlers to reach the 100-T20I mark. The landmark appearance arrived on one of the biggest stages, with India defending their Asian Games title against their fiercest rivals.
The pacer had played his 99th T20I in the semifinal against Sri Lanka on October 1. In that match he also became the first Indian to play T20I cricket in 13 different countries.
India won the toss in the final and chose to bat. Captain Shreyas Iyer named an unchanged team for the historic clash, the first men’s cricket final between India and Pakistan at the Asian Games.
Bumrah is widely regarded as one of the finest fast bowlers in world cricket. His yorkers and calmness under pressure have made him India’s go-to bowler in big matches.
