Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam will release in cinemas on October 16. The film tells the story of Ujjwal Nikam, the special public prosecutor who led the case against the terrorists of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The trailer was launched on September 29 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai, a location heavy with meaning since the station was one of the targets of the 2008 attacks.

Nikam is one of India’s most well-known prosecutors, having handled several high-profile cases over a long career. The film promises to show the human side of the legal battle that followed the attacks, including the pressure and threats faced by the prosecution team.

Biopics of real-life heroes have found strong audiences in recent years. With its October release, Prahaar will test whether the story of a courtroom fighter can draw crowds the way sports and political biopics have. The makers have said the film stays close to documented events from the long-running trial.
