Micron posts record $54.23B quarter on AI memory boom

Micron has posted record fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of $54.23 billion. The chipmaker reported the results on September 30. Revenue is up 379 per cent from $11.32 billion a year earlier. It beat the $51.07 billion consensus.

Adjusted earnings per share came in at $33.42, above the $31.61 estimate. GAAP net income reached $37.70 billion. It is the sixth straight quarterly revenue record.

DRAM revenue rose 343 per cent to $39.8 billion. That is 73 per cent of total sales. Core data centre revenue hit $18 billion, up more than tenfold. Cloud memory added $16.28 billion.

For the full fiscal year, Micron’s revenue totalled $133.19 billion. That is up 256 per cent from $37.38 billion in fiscal 2025. Operating cash flow was $89.68 billion.

Micron guided first-quarter revenue of about $61.5 billion. Analysts had expected $57 billion. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said memory supply will likely stay tight through fiscal 2027 and 2028.

“AI is advancing toward superintelligence, and memory strengthens that intelligence,” Mehrotra said.

Micron is building new chip plants in New York and Boise, Idaho. It has 26 strategic customer agreements locking in demand through 2030.
