Mark Kelly Urges South Carolina Democrats to Outwork GOP

Senator Mark Kelly has told South Carolina Democrats they must “outwork” Republicans before the November 3 election. The Arizona senator spoke to more than 70 voters in Mauldin on Friday.
Kelly, a former astronaut, is one of the party’s most popular figures. He has campaigned in more than 15 states this year, making him a key draw for down-ballot Democrats.
His wife, former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, joined him at the event. The South Carolina Democratic Party organised the turnout push in Greenville County.
Kelly backed two candidates on stage. He endorsed Annie Andrews, who is running for the US Senate against Lindsey Graham. He also supported Nancy Lacore in her House race for the 1st District.
His visit has added to speculation about a 2028 presidential run. The Democratic National Committee picked South Carolina as the party’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary for 2028. Kelly said he would consider a run if he believes he is the right person for the country.
Kelly avoided presidential questions. He kept his focus on the midterms, telling the crowd that hard work in the final month would decide the outcome.
